I've had this blog for a while (under a different name) and I hadn't used it almost year. I teach a STEM class full-time at a K-8 charter school in Michigan and my students (just like any) say all kinds of things, all the time. Their comments range from snarky to nonsensical and silly to downright hilarious. Now, everytime they say these things I think to myself, "I must share this with someone...anyone, it's just too great of a story" and I'll post it in a status on facebook or text a friend. Today I figured, why not have them all in one place? So, here it is. From now on, I'll be documenting the crazy things that come out of my students mouths. Feel free to leave comments or share your own stories (so long as they're appropriate and you're playing nice).
By the way, in case you were wondering, STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and math. I teach it as a class and we do fun, hands-on things that have to do with any of the above. This semester I'm teaching kindergarten, second grade, fourth grade, and middle school (6-8). I have 300+ students so forgive me if I forget names sometimes.
Today, the kindergarteners are drawing pictures of what they think they would find on the inside of a computer. This should be interesting....stay tuned!
